Yōsuke is the back-up goal-keeper for Hanazono Junior High's accociation football (soccer) team, he first appears when the girls are trying to get an interview with the team captain, Yanigiba Kazuya, and he stops them from being hit by a ball by saving it and also tells them than they cannot interview Yanigiba because the team has to practice.

Momoko notices straight away that Yōsuke is attractive, but she develops a negative view of him after he kicks her (literally) out of the school soccer field, she is even more disgusted when she finds out he is "just" a first year like herself and only the back-up goalie. Yōsuke delights in teasing her and calling her Momo-P (which is a bit like a guy snarkly calling a girl "babe") it is pretty obvious that the two care for each other but they can only express their feelings through bickering at first.

As the story progresses hints are dropped that there is more to Yōsuke than there seems, at several points he seems to be capable of emitting power like the angels and the devils; When Queen Reine Devila kidnaps him Pluie is made to perform some sort of rite upon him rather than simply hold him hostage or dispose of him and he is shown to have in his possession a strange bracelet that emanates devil energy, he says it is his fathers, a discussion between Scarlett and Yanigiba-senpai also indicates to the reader that Yōsuke is not completely human.

It is eventually revealed that Yōsuke's father is a devil, in fact he is the devil Uragano who was responsible for the deaths of Lily, Daisy and Salvia in their past lives and he was blown down to Earth when he tried to kill Lady Celeste, like her he lost his memory, met a human, and fell in love and married. Sometime after Yōsuke was born however he left after getting his memories back. He reappeared in order to fight the Love Angels and during the battle Wedding Peach was injured and Yōsuke broke out into a violent rage that transformed him into the devil Viento.

Uragano took Viento back to the Devil World with him where Viento demanded to see the Queen; however he was not allowed to do this as he had just "awakened". Viento was actually plotting to kill Reine Devila, at one point he visited Momoko and told her to be ready to kill him otherwise he would have to kill her.

When everything is finally resolved Yōsuke and Momoko are able to be together
