Hinagiku lives with her parents and younger brother; she lives in an apartment within the same building as her parents' shop which is called "TAMANO FLOWER" (written in Roman letters). She loves her family who are all quite spirited.
While her mother, Akemi, is always encouraging Hinagiku to be more ladylike she herself speaks in informal language and is often losing her calm. Masahiro, Hinagiku's father often loses his temper he's not mean he simply overreacts to some things (Akemi on the other hand usually has a good reason to lose her temper, and it usually involves either Hinagiku or Masahiro). Akira is the typical pesky younger brother who often gets into fights with Hinagiku; this of course is nothing more than typical sibling rivalry.
When they were younger Masahiro gave Akemi the gift of a pendant (it was his first gift to her), Akemi cherished it so much that she wore it on her wedding day – in fact she wore it almost all the time until she came to pass it on to Hinagiku. This pendant had absorbed the power of the Saint Something Borrowed.
